General Thoughts for Finding the Perfect Chicken Coop Name
Here are my general thoughts and considerations as I debate on the perfect name for our chicken coop.
- Make it something timeless. I love the Game of Thrones-inspired names, but I was trying to think of a perfect coop name right around the time that the series ended. Not sure I want a GoT-related name three years after the show is over.
- Make it fit your personality. Are you sweet? Funny? Sarcastic? Classic? A little inappropriate? Let it be a reflection of you and your flock!
- Think about your interests (other than chickens, of course). Are you a gamer? Maybe there’s a specific show or movie franchise you adore. Or you love cooking with eggs, or traveling the world. Try to weave something about you into the name of your beloved chicken coop.
- I also think it’s important to have a name that’s easy to “get” – someone can quickly pronounce it and understand the reference, if there is one.
- Finally, how are you going to showcase the name? Will it be painted on the coop, or are you making a logo to sell your own chicken eggs? For some, a short-and-sweet name might be better, while others love something more extensive.
