As our kids get older, bedtime changes. Our four and six year old still share a room and we all do bedtime together, and we’ve recently started having a conversation as we all sit in their bed. My husband and I ask our kids five questions – we help the kids fall asleep full of pride and self love, we learn more about our children, and it’s a great screen-free way for them to get ready for rest! We are getting closer and closer to the big day! We’ve spent a lot of time speaking to medical professionals, attending classes, and doing lots of our own research – all with the intention of making the best birth plan possible for our son. This birth plan is written with a hospital birth in mind, and my emphasis was on a natural/drug-free birth. I’ll write a birth center-specific plan soon.

Whether you’ve been trying to conceive for years, or your pregnancy is a bit of a surprise, there are certainly lifestyle changes which need to take place as soon as you find out that you’re expecting. Some are fairly obvious – I’m sure most of us know that alcohol is very dangerous, for example – but some were less obvious for me.
